In order to ensure a safe environment for all birds, Barton Bird Care LLC follows strict procedure when boarding your bird(s). Responsible Party must provide and Barton Bird Care LLC must be allowed to review current medical records (within the last 18 calendar months) and/or a written statement from your bird’s veterinarian that your bird is healthy and injury free before boarding your bird(s).

Barton Bird Care LLC reserves the right to refuse boarding when the above information has not been provided prior to the scheduled drop off date, or if your bird appears to be ill or injured upon drop-off. In the event your bird appears ill or injured during the boarding period, in the sole discretion of Barton Bird Care LLC, Barton Bird Care LLC reserves the right to charge emergency boarding rates. Emergency boarding rates are standard rates plus a 20% emergency accommodation fee.

Emergency Veterinary Authorization If a life-threatening illness or injury occurs during the boarding period, Barton Bird Care LLC, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of its veterinarians for evaluation and recommended treatment in order to keep the Responsible Party’s bird stable. The Responsible Party shall pay all expenses thereof. Responsible Party acknowledges and they agree to reimburse all expenses incurred by Barton Bird Care LLC thereof at time of discharge from veterinarian or Barton Bird Care LLC. Responsible Party may provide payment for Bird’s veterinary services directly to the attending veterinarian’s practice.

Personal Items Barton Bird Care LLC is not responsible for any toys, enrichment, crates, carriers, cages, food or personal items that the Responsible Party leaves with the bird unless clearly labeled with contact information.

Indemnification Provision Responsible Party will hold harmless, release, and indemnify Barton Bird Care LLC and its owners, without limitation, from any and all damages, claims, loss, liability, cost or expense, causes of action of suits, whatsoever, in law or equity (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees and related costs) arising out of or related to any and all services provided by Barton Bird Care LLC under this Boarding Contract.

Payment Responsible Party agrees to pay a 50% deposit to hold the boarding reservation. The remaining balance is due on the last day of boarding before picking up the bird(s).

Bird Pick Up If anyone other than the Responsible Party picks up the Responsible Party’s Bird boarded with Barton Bird Care LLC, contact information for such authorized person(s) must be indicated below with written permission to release the Bird. In the event that the individual who can pick up the Bird is not listed on this form, Responsible Party agrees to provide Barton Bird Care LLC an electronic authorization release emailed to info@bartonbirdcare.com that lists the newly authorized person’s name and contact information. No boarding Bird(s) will be released without this documentation on file. Thank you for providing this essential information for your bird’s care and safety.

Social Media Responsible Party grants permission to Barton Bird Care LLC to post information about the Bird including but not limited to name, species, and photographs on social media.
