Before the COVID-19 pandemic the majority of our bird boarding customers were local families traveling for pleasure. Some were planning weekend getaways, others were visiting second homes up North for months at a time. While very few of our clients are now traveling for pleasure, we have a number of customers looking for bird care for other reasons. Read on to learn some of the ways Barton Bird Care can help you and your family, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
1. You are Remodeling
Remodeling projects have greatly increased during the pandemic. It only makes sense to remodel our living spaces while we are spending so much time at home. Living in a construction zone is not great for anyone, and it can be particularly challenging for your parrot. Some parrots feel stressed by the new people and equipment entering their home. Depending on the project, there can also be health risks from the chemicals used during the construction project or the dust particles released into the air. Do not let the parrot in your construction zone end up like the canary in the coal mine! We are happy to help out during your construction projects, and yes, we do offer a long-term boarding discount.
2. You Have Company Coming Over
You love your parrots and have committed to a certain bird-friendly lifestyle. Maybe you have rescued a special cockatoo and he is just a touch noisy if you leave the room. Your charitable efforts work for you and your immediate family, but not so much for your special relative or friend who is in town. It is ok if you need a break from your parrot. Even the most well-loved and special parrots can be a lot sometimes. Bring them to us and leave your guilt behind. Your parrot will enjoy the change in scenery and you can have a break from the noise and mess of your feathered friend while you visit with your company.
3. You Have a Medical Concern
As we approach the pandemic’s year mark some medical procedures can simply no longer be delayed. Likewise, if you are ill and need help caring for your bird we are happy to help out. You may be wondering who in the world will give your parrot special heart medications four times a day, play peek-a-boo with your parrot’s favorite towel or sing row, row, row your boat with your parrot each night before bed. Barton Bird Care has followed all of these requests for various parrot guests and we are happy to meet your special requests as well. You can take the time to heal knowing that your companion parrot is well cared for.
4. You are Traveling
Last but not least, some of our clients are still visiting second homes, camping or using Airbnb to safely get away during the pandemic. Do not let your vacation days go unused! Please reach out if we can help with your bird care needs while you are away.
